Hard to say. Might or might not. Depends on the condition of the tranny.

depends on the condition of the tranny and how you drive it. depending on how you keep your foot in it, it could go a long way or start going out in a week.

Do you guys know what kinda HP, TQ gain I will get from just sliding it up? I saw the number 50hp on another form. Just would really like to do this but not at the cost of a new tranny. But if I blow it give me a good excuse to get a new stronger one i guess. Thanks for the help...

just sliding the stock plate up you should be ok if you drive with half a brain and its definitly a noticable increase in power. get a guage and watch your temp and dont mash it from a dead stop all the time. should be ok but i would look into a converter and valve body or at least a shift kit in the future

Okay great info. So by doing this is it all or nothing when sliding it or can you slide like half and still fill a gain?

You can slide it just a little if you want. You'll get a little bit of a gain.

good luck...if the afc has never been off those those tamper proof bolts can be a pain but its worth it and super easy to get off after that

slide it forwards towards the front bumper for more power a couple turns toward the engine on the starwheel would help too

I was going to ask about that. So do I just use a chisel to hammer a groove in them or is there a better way? thanks Oil Burner.
