hi i was wondering if anybody has ever herd of black diesel andif it is safe to use or not i found it at Diesel substitute, not biodiesel, black diesel fuel from motor oil dewatering filters if anybody has done this pls let me know

 

i havent done it in a pick up, but we used to run oil in the tank in our semis at work when we changed the oil.

 

You can run waste oil as fuel, but make sure it is filtered and water seperated really well. It can lead to coked tips.

 

what would be the best way to filter it if one was to decide to run waste oil? would a airdog be ok? or would that be to much for the pump

 

racor 1000 filters makes a good set up. they say it will catch 99 percent of water. also they have a 2 micron filter.

 

You want to filter waste oil separate from your fuel system, or you'll be changing out filters left and right. I run it regularly, no issues. I've run 90/10 mixes before, just make sure you filter the hell out of it.

 

filter before the lift pump and after the lift pump and filter it before you fill your tank.

 

yes take the racor and filter it to 2 micron and put it in a bulk tank or drum. then you can mix it in your truck tank filtered again.

 

runing it,60-40 ish no worries filter it before putting i tinth tank, i filter to 5 micron and still block small in line filters once a week. i fi go straigh tot the main spin on filter it lasts alot longer.
