Hi, there is what may be working on in the near future,i have a 95psd with 267,000 miles on it
starting to have problems. What i am looking at is a early DODGE diesel 94 to 98 so i can stay away from electronics with a 5speed, 4x4 ,3500 dually,posi.to put a dump bed on it like
we did with the 95pos,any thoughts would be appreciated,thanks

Right now we have a 95psd that we put a flatbed on, dually rear end ,4x4 and use it for hauling firewood. Looking for a truck that has less electronics which i believe the 94/98 years
have simple injectors where as the 95pos a lot of electronics.
What i believe we will be looking at is 94/98 4x4,3500,5spd. posi. rear end,with as much if not
more hp/toruge as the 95pos does,thanks

 

If your looking for hp/tq ratings.....

94-95 auto 160hp
94-95 manl 175hp
96-98 auto 180hp
96-98 manl 215hp

Since your PowerStroke is rated at 215hp, the only 12v that would have the same output is the 96-98 with the 5speed, but I can assure you, any of the engines, even the 160hp version, will do what you need it to with ease. Not to mention you can get 100-150hp for free in about 30 mins on a 12v

 

on my 160 pump i gained 138 at the wheels from goin from stock to a 0 plate. any of those years would be good.

i miss read your first post is why i asked. i was readin the 95psd as a 95 5 speed talking bout a dodge, it was like, why are u asking bout a dodge in those year models when you have one talk about a brain fart
