Would you burn fuel from the early 80's?

I put some of it in a clear jar and it is dark colored and smells more like stale gas then diesel, my brother was saying he heard that diesel gets more volatile and turns dark when it is bad.

Do you think I should still try it? I kind of chickened out, but it's probably still a step up from dino turds

Use it, and if you're scared of it, go half old and half new fuel

Check it! Test it! After all you got it cheap. and then mix it 50% with new fuel, or start out 10% and work your way up.

I started out burning it 50/50 but it ran so good I decided to run it strait, and so far it is working great! It almost seems to run smoother than it did on fresh pump diesel

I talked to the guy I got it from and he thinks it is closer to 40yrs old, they switched the boiler to natural gas in the early 70's.

I got about $1000 worth of diesel for free (if I had to buy it today)

I sure am glad I listened to you guys

Sad but its probably better quality than this ULSD stuff
