Default NV4500 conversion

First off this is my first post. I want to thank all you for previous questions and answers. It has been a great help and education. I have a 95 4x4 automatic and have a few questions about an nv4500 swap.
1] if i chose to get a 98 and up nv4500 will the hydraulics from a 95 manual work or will i have to get the 98 and up hyds? will the pedal assembly and firewall mount be the same?
2] Mine being a reg cab 4x4, will the plastic shifter console on say a 99 and up fit correctly instead of just shifter boots from the previous years? any input would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

You'll want the old boots the 98 and up were different. I believe also you'll want a 95 or 95 guage. Cluster and steering column the pedal assembly is the same. The only advantage to the 98 and up 4500 s is the ability to put a short throw shifter on it the top plates are different. 5th gear still falls off so get that fixed

I appreciate your response. i was wanting to buy a reman 4500 from a 99 4x4. my main reason for that year was my dealer who i am purchasing my trans from said that the newer trans had better syncros. He could be wrong and i am also wanting to put a short throw shifter in. But from my understanding the hrydrualics are different. My year model truck is a 95. i have the twist in slave cylinder and i think the newer modles are bolt in on the firewall. i guess what my main question would be, will i run into any problems putting a 99 4500 in a automatic 95 as far as hydraulics?

You shouldn't but do yourself a favor and by the HD kit its well worth the money and get the 99 kit so you don't have any problems
