Default problems bleeding lines after pump swap

well i just finished up swapping a p pump over to my 93 cummins. we got ready to bleed the lines to start it and it aint pushing fuel like it should. at first i pulled the main line from the filter housing to the pump and didnt have any fuel coming out, finally got a stream coming from it so hooked it back up and cracked the injector lines and got fuel on back to injectors but the rest wont bleed out. im not for sure what my problem is or how to fix it. i think it mite be the lift pump. should there be just a stream from that main line or should it have pretty good pressure and spray out? not forsure what to do. thinking bout just buying a airdog and doing away with all the stock crap so i know i got fuel.

any ideas?

I am not sure about how the lift pump is on that 1st gen but the p7100 needs a lot more pressure than the VE, we're talking around 40psi compared to under 10. If it is not building that kind of pressure and is just a "stream" then you probably aren't getting enough fuel to it. Since it feeds the back 2 cylinders first, it probably doesn't have enough fuel left over for the rest of the cylinders because of the low pressure stream.

You'll need to either switch to a piston pump or run an electric lift pump.
