Default A faster shifting NV4500?

Ok, so by what I'm reading on here and elsewhere, swapping to an auto may be classified as a bad idea. I'm really gettin' tired of having a super-slow truck, and this POS shifts HARD. I would blame it on my Valair double disc, but I put this same clutch in a customers truck with a G56, and that thing shifts like a dream. This is my DD and a tow rig. What, if anything can be done to help these shift better?

I may just put a G56 in this yet. I don't plan to exceed 550 ish HP, so it should hold just fine..

Try changing your tranny fluid but make sure you use the right oil. Helped a bunch on mine.

do u have the upgraded hydraulics? mine shifts like a bear too so i think im gonna try that. im not sure if its possible, but you might be able to switch to the newer style shift tower then get a short throw kit for it.

Yep, it's got fresh Amsoil MTG. So it's just a slow pig... Just as I suspected.... Man I want a built auto. LOL

Might end up with a G56. Them babies shift fast.

i can slip it on demand if i want to, but it does go into overdrive and torque converter locks so everything seems to be working, now to pull it and throw in a torque converter, input shaft, clutches, valve body and anythign else i can think of

I wonder if a guy could have the synchro rings relined with something like the feramic material they use on performance clutches? That'd do the trick I think... Make it shift faster.
