can someone please inform me how to take the dash out my truck, im trying to get at the main vacuum line that makes all my vents work cuz they aint workin at the moment, ive taken out all the screws and bolts i can see but i can seem to firgure out how to get at the front of the hvac stuff.

what year of truck are you working on? fill out your sig. man. Assuming this is a 94-98 year truck, theres a nut on the left and right side near the kick panel area (if i recall correctly) that you loosen. Our dashes are designed pivot downward on these two hinges and then assuming everything is disconnected it can then be pulled out as a whole unit revealing the heater core and all the vaccum lines.

its a 98 and the whole unit consists of what exactly?

Same concept applies for the newer dash. But u have to have the bezel off radio out unhooked drop the steering colume to the floor then after the lower bolts by the kick panal are removed the whole dash should roll towards the seats

Kinda shows the lower mount but besure to undo both sides not one like this pic shows...

When youre in there make sure you replace your heater core

The vacum supply line goes in from the engine compartment right by the heater hoses on the firewall. I'd make sure it's not an underhood problem before pullin the dash cuz it's a PIA

mine was a collapsed hose under the hood,, pulling the dash sucks and the old ones crack way too easy when they get older
