need static degrees to mm conversion
i have the 180hp pump looking for what mm to get 16.5* on the money also what mm for 17*. i have contacted columbus diesel suppy and got 6.55 or 6.65 mm. just thought id check with u guys as well thanks
I'd say their full of crap based on this chart. Diesel Timing
I've heard something like 0.2mm more for ever 1* after 16 but not sure on exacts.
So you should be at around 5.1 at 16.5 and 5.3 at 17.
Not 100% here but that's what the majority of threads I have found are saying.

the guy at cds said that it should be 6.55mm or so i even asked about the diffrence in the pumps and if i results in a diffrent mm and he said the cams in the pumps should all be the same
so i should do 5mm then

6.55 and youll be in the over 20* range and it will run like chit. Been there(first time timing the pump), filled my garage up with white smoke and couldnt touch the pedal. Reset it to 5mm and runs good.
the cams in the 160 and 175 are the same and the cams in the 180 and 215 are the same
