What would I have to do to my tran on my 98 12v to hold 500 max hp?? I am planning on getting 140 hp nozzles and a bigger turbo in the near future, I already have the fuel plate and afc housing set for max hp but I am thinking I need to rebuid the tran before I do the nozzle and turbo. It isnt slipping or having any problems but I dont wanna blow it up while showing off What would it cost me?? I have found rebuild trans on ebay for less than $3,000 than can hold 550hp. Would that be the better way to go?? I can do the labor myself but would the parts cost more than that? Any advice would be appreitated!! Thanks!

 

best bet would to look at a suncoast , goerend , or ats tranny itself. and 4000 give or take wat tc u go with etc.

 

Ditto. Buy name brand or do some research on here who builds the best. Fords have Brians Truck Shop all he does is stroker trannys. Cant believe there isnt a dodge guy doing that

I don't know much about my Tran...its a 4x4. 98 12v. Suncoast has what I want for with core for 4000. And a torque convertor for 800. Not to bad...more than I for rite now.
