no heat

Default no heat

just bought a 98 12 valve, runs like a champ but no air comes out the vents??

Hmm.... I was thinking the same myself. Check fuses and relays while your at it. Might be as simple as an unhooked connection?

If the blower motor runs, and the air just comes out of the defrost then you have a vacuum leak.

the motor runs and air only come out the defrost but not very much at all, a vacuum leak from were, any spot inparticular?

start searching,,,, mine was under the wiper cowl right above #5 ... my 4x4 didnt work either

what else runs on the vacuum system? and when i do find the leak is it just a matter of putting in a new hose?

mine did the same thing back in the summer it is right under the cowl like monster12valve said easy fix if thats what it is

I made this a week ago. Shows where all the vacuum lines go. As for the leak, it might be a cracked hose and it might be as simple as the hose just coming out of the connector. The black line runs into the dash and goes straight down to behind the air bag system/gas pedal (in between those 2) and you will see a big clear connector with 4 lines going into it, that is where the black line splits the vacuum off for each thing (blend door, vent door..). The connection down there is probably fine but just figured I would explain it all a little more.
