Default 96 cummins 12v turbo upgrade

Alrite you know it all's out there need some good input for a good turbo upgrade. I got a 96 cummins 12v. I took the fuel plate out, did some mods to the AFC housing which i don's think matters since a took the plate out, i also put a 2095 mack rack plug and took a die grinder and cut the foot feeding stop bolt off. That makes a hell of a difference cause now i can rev 3,500 rpm or close to floating valves. Anyways i had the stock turbo boosting 40psi with the waste gate pinched off, needless to say my turbo didn't last long. Question is, what is a good turbo ungrade to get that will allow me room to grow in the future? Maybe a single that will work with twins later on? The more info the better. Thanks

for twins what are your goals towing or jsut big numbers?

for towing I say a 62/68-71/14 would be a good single to grow into and to make a really hard spooling set of twins if paired with say an s475-480. shoud make good streetability because you wont have the lag of a bigger turbo down low like a 64/71/14 if towing or pulling.

now for an all out big numbers TOY BD-special over s480 and hold on when IT all lights

Man its a ton1 dually. I dont tow anything with. For time to time i might put 10,000lbs behind for a short distance. I wont 700rwhp. For as little as i did to it a freak of nature cause i can roll some coals and i burned up a stage two clutch. I have alittle money to spend. I just dont want to get something and be pissed off when i get on in. Over....

the BD special was one I really wanted for my modded 12v but I got the deal i wanted on my 64/71/14 by HTT so I took that instead. The special is said to be the best single for a modded 12v thats a power toy

i did the same thing u did with my stock turbo and i wanted a good turbo that i could make to twins in the future and i put a ats aurora 3000 on my truck witch has been a good turbo and is easy to throw a 5000 behind it now it dose cost about 3000 dollars for a hole kit but has a great warranty and also if u get this turbo u may want to buy injectors to spull faster
