MY TURBO
#11
^^^ first off get it straight piped and a air intake more or less. ur at least gonna want a pyro gauge and boost. second get a boost elbow from (bigbaddiesel) they come with instructions and easy on the wallet. third dont take ur fuel plate out. get a 6, 10, or 0 plate. slidin the plate towards ur radiator will increase fuel. theres a few mods in the afc check the threads up top when u get back to the thread sheet on how to do it! u have to have fuel to get ur turbo goin good!! u can take the silencer ring out if u want to hear it a little better too. if u want to know anything specific on wat u want to do then just ask and well help u! and last that clutch wont last to much longer if u do these little things rite

its on the front where the intake goes on. take off the clamp and its right inside. all you have to do it pry out the snap ring with a flat head and then theres a little plate that will come out also. this will only make your turbo whistle louder. it has no performance advantages. i had mine out but i put it back in cause i drive on the highway for long periods of time and it gets annoying

To the original poster: you need to check for boost leaks first. Also check that you have enough fuel in the first place(clogged filter, bad overflow valve or weak lift pump). 7psi is way low for even a stock truck under load. The stock wastegate setting is about 18psi and you should be able to hit that under full load if everything else is working correctly. If you messed up "porting" the wastegate and the flapper doesn't seal anymore, it is probably why you can't make boost.
Once you're sure everything is okay, then start to mod.
