1995 No charge, no tach

Hey guys Im looking to buy a 95 Ram 2500 but it will not charge and has no tach. The guy who has it said he has put a new alterntor and new crank sensor on it and still same problem. Not getting any power to the field wires on the alternator. Anyone have any ideas

yeah i had the same problem, just 2 months ago.you have to adjust the crankshaft sensor gap.i just used a single notecard and it works great.if you getting a good price for the truck jump on it.my truck had the same problem so i got a 4x4 cummins w/ a brand new tranny rebuild cuz he didnt know what was up.
