Cold start issue
Hey guys I have searched for my exact problem with no luck and rather than hijacking someone elses thread thought I would start my own.
I have a 97 12V I purchased 1 month ago. It just started getting really cold at night. Around 18-30*. The last 2 days when I would try and start the truck I would wait for the heater then turn the key and it would start right away as smooth as can be. After approximatley 30 seconds the truck will start running very rough and die. After about 3 tries of starting the truck it will finally start up without any problems and start fine the rest of the day. Any suggestions. I just got the truck and the timing has been advanced to 15*, ddp fuel plate slid ff, starwheel 15 clicks forward, and afc ff. I have not plugged the truck up over night. I know this will help but something tells me this isn't the problem?

i doubt you got a fuel leak, if you had a fuel leak it wouldnt start up right up and then die after thirty seconds. if it was a fuel leak itd be more like it has a hard time starting but clears up after a few seconds.
Between 1200 and 1500 rpm's when started in the morning.

idk Do you guys think plugging the truck up may help or maybe my lift pump maybe going out?

Do you guys think it could be the fuel shut off solenoid?
