that's a good question..... i guess on like how bad will i need head studs and whats some good ones to get and stuff like that

blazier18 12-02-2010 09:55 PM

i wouldnt imagine u would need them unless u bumped timing or run good psi

big willy 12-03-2010 01:58 AM

well I've got an S300 turbo that came off a twin set up so im just guessing I'll be pushing around 40-50 psi? and I'll probably move my timing to 16.5 since that seems to be what I've noticed is what everyone with a 12v turns it to

blazier18 12-03-2010 02:06 AM

depends on fuel how much boost u have, second headstuds and a thicker gasket wouldnt hurt at all but i cant tell u if u need to wait till the gaskets goes or go ahead and do it. thats ur call i wish i could help u more

alright well im almost thinking i will be fine on the head gasket i know a guy that is pushing 70 lbs of boost and had the stock on there and replaced it just for the heck of it.. but he is in a 04 CR

94 12valve 12-03-2010 05:55 AM

why would you want a thicker head gasket? ... unless your decking the block or head use a stock thickness gasket

blazier18 12-03-2010 12:49 PM

thats rite i had my head oringed and a fire ringed gasket

94 12valve 12-03-2010 02:23 PM

with o rings your suposed to use a normal head gasket ... fire rings require a different gasket

FYI 70 pounds on stock gasket and headbolts on a 12v will not hunt...
