Gear ratio change "Help"
Ok so I am changing gear ratios from the 4.10's to 3.54's and I need to know from someone that actually knows what I need to change to keep the transmission shifting correctly and the speedometer reading correctly. I have read that the speedo reads off of the rear axle and I do have a sensor on top of the pumpkin, but I also have a sensor on the output of the transfer case with wires attached. I have also been told that the sensor on the rear end is only for the ABS brakes? Does anyone know for a fact what is the correct info?

im new to dodges, iv always been a chevy guy. but from my experience with the chevys, theres only 2 ways to go about it, re tune the ecm(there has to be some kind of controll module on these trucks for the speedometer) or just fool the 0-5v input from the vehicle speed sensor. my chevy came with a jet accu speed controller which was just an overpriced rheostat(variable resistor, like the dimer switch on your dash) in a fancy billet casing that you wire between the vss and the ecm. if you cant find anything else this works on any truck. you could probably go to radio shack and get what you needed or id be willing to sell mine if you need it.
