12V CTD had starting when parked on a hill. Fuel pump probem???
My 98 2500 CTD, which normally runs perfectly and starts very easily, even in the cold, has become hard to start if I park it on a hill, front end higher than the rear. It fires like normal but drops cylinders and will stall if I don't tap the throttle a bit for about 30 seconds. Then the idle evens out and it runs normally. No problem parked on a hill if it's running, only when stopped and only after a while.
Feels like a check valve is failing and the fuel line is emptying, like it's starting on what's in the pump but it's taking the lift pump a while to get more fuel to it. Anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it?
Thanks...Boatman.

could be bad rubber return line thats behind the injection pump, or could be alot of things with the lines from the tank and back, your probably losing your prime, i would start be replacing the rubber lines that around behind the injection pump, its a bit of work to find these problems sometimes

Check the fuel lines. Replace if cracked.
