book says 144 ft/lbs I take mine to 150 you don't wanna go to high or you can strip the thread off the nut ( been there done that).

Thought it was in the 140 area. I thought 180 was high but a couple guys I talked to took theres to 190. I have one of those digital snap on torque wrenches and set it at 175 but it flashes a reading when you finally stop and it was at 180.

I have done my truck and several others and its 144 lbs and i have always gone there and never (nock on wood) had one slip yet. You have to have the shaft of the pump very very clean. I use ether to clean the shaft, have some one hold the motor and go to like 10 pounds or so to seat the gear and then re gather my self so i have enough room to go to 144 lbs in one clean sweep.
