It seems to me that you need to move your plate. A lot of AFC mods don't really do anything if the plate is still in the stock location.

The AFC controls the rate at which fuel is delivered, lowering spring pressure will bring the fuel in earlier, as will inceasing the starting position of the off idle adjustment(smoke screw). If you are not altering the rack stop(plate), you will not increase hp or delivered fuel quantity.

Have you messed with the star wheel at all? or is that what you referring as the smoke screw?

Just remove the plate completely once and see how you like it. But keep a eye on the egts if you on the go pedal

Okay I moved the #11 plate all forward. I adjusted the smoke screw to where I'm getting just a haze of smoke until about 6-7 psi.
I adjusted the star wheel as far out as I could and still cannot get even a haze of smoke after 6psi. My boost seems to start slowly climbing at 1500rpm and finally hits 30psi(which is where I set it) at about 2300 rpm. Everything sound right or no?

Seems like your boost is coming in high? It's been a minute since i've had my cummins, but I thought that boost came in hard right around 21-2200 rpms?

Turn star wheel all the way in towards the front of the motor and start to turn it back towards the cab till its where you like it.
