But you say it fuels when the truck warms up? Or are you saying the truck just smooths out when it warms up, but not all six are still firing? Thats probably not good, .

exactly. but im goin back home in a few weeks and i gotta buddy thats a 12v guru so im gonna let him play with it

hahaha hell ya, it takes a lot more than a down cylinder to hold back a cummins!

ive got a cliford on my 98 12v in HI with a turbo timmer, and remote start. works good untill i move back to the east coast.

Ive had a remote starter on my 97 for 10years & i live in michigan it has almost 300k on it. It has idled sometimes for 1hour in extreme cold from start up @ 900rpm may be you are running to much fuel if your have problems with fuel running past the rings

Im not running a lot of fuel.

So when you get into the truck after an hour of idleing or even a half hour - what is your pyrometer reading?

I have to shut the truck off even when Im fuelling up because the exhaust temperature quickly drops below 300 deg F. You do not want to let the cylinder temps drop much below 300 degrees (pre turbo).

^ya but at what static temp is it when you drop below 300*?

Below 20 degrees will do it.


Michigan should have similar temps to here in the winter.
