What do you consider constant maintenance as? I change the oil in the 06 every 10,000 and teh oils in the 89 every 5000 or once a year... Thats it for maintanance other then the crap you should always check like fluid level, brakes, lights, ect....

My 12v had an assortment of issues. Probably due to prior owner neglect. I always had the thought in the back of my head "Am I going to get to where I need to be? Is my truck gonna be ok?"

My powerstroke, I never had ANY issues or negative thoughts.

So you judge almost 20 years of production trucks on one that you had that someone neglected?

Obviously everybody thats followed me in my 12v adventures knows I bought a lemon where the previous owner neglected it. Like I've said a few times now, I love both of the 7.3 and the 12v. They are both tough motors that pull like freight trains.
