Default No overdrive

last week i pulled off the highway for a second and my overdrive worked fine, and then i get back on the highway and there is no overdrive. and my top speed is 55 at 2500rpm

- i tested the tps and got 1v at idle and4v at WOT
- Brake switch was replaced about a month ago
- Tach and spedo still work
- my overdrive switch still goes out of overdrive becasue i can lock the convertor at 30mphs

Any Ideas?

it dont take much to burn up the over drive i blew a line on mine lost bout 4 quarts of fluid. Mine was done you can re build just the overdrive and never take the whole tranny out.

you can put it on a scan tool and watch to see if it goes into over drive

or possibly put a pressure gauge on the od test port and see if its getting the pressure to engage, if it is getting pressure and not working then od is probally done for, if it doesnt get pressure it could be the solinoid

you can pull the od out while the rest of the trans is in the truck, you will need a press to get part or od apart
