Cummins prices on everything are ridiculous
Really? I just bought a new dipstick and bellcrank bushings for my truck, total cost was $42can. The dipstick alone would be at least $20 used around here, but if Brice can get you one talk to him first (you might want to get a few other goodies while your at it).

Just finding every time I go to Cummins the prices just go up and up. Filters and such especially.

That's possible, it probably depends on the individual cummins shop, my brother used to work there and he said they aren't all owned by cummins. So they probably all set there prices individually to a degree.

The only filters I bought from cummins I got wholesale, so not sure what the prices are.

That doesn't seem to bad but you probably could weld it up, just make sure you clean it good if your using a mig welder. If you don't have a welder you could probably get it welded for cheap, it should only take a couple minutes if you have it cleaned up and bring it in to a welding shop. probably even a good mechanic shop could do it.

as for the pin, they are there for alignment only (That is all ) there is a bunch of people who stat that the pin holds the gear housing in place for the weight of the injection pump, not true.
