will a gm nv4500 work on a dodge or only the dodge version?

Input shafts will interchange with the thing the race presses into (the name is slipping my mind). Outputs are pretty different. If you were gonna do it that way you would need a chevy transfer case. You could swap the gears off the chevy mainshaft onto the dodge mainshaft, but you'd need a dodge 5th gear and nut. Thats a lot more work than its worth, i went the other direction before.
