I just found this thread, great build! One of these days I'd like to do an old power wagon like these guys: M-Series Rebuild LLC, CUMMINS DIESEL engine for DODGE M37, M37B1, M43,V41, M56 military trucks, civilian power wagon, B1pw, B3pw, C3series, B3 series.

Also personally I think it odd that there are so many guys running the 4bt in large military type vehicles. I know that you can boost the power up and that it is most likely enough power... but when is enough really enough so I for one am happy to know that I am going to have a 6BT, about 500 Hp and a transmission that can take the power to the rear axle and a rear axle that can take a beating. Mine is going to be driven, though not much off road use. So many guys before me have said the 6bt will not fit and left it at that, now I know that it can fit but it is going to be a load of work and a tight fit.

I made a little more progress, I welded (tac) the lower link mounts to the axle so the links are all tacked to the axle.
Here is the plates I made the other day to support the link below the frame
View from above, look at those links 2.5" od and 1/2" thick! These should hold up well.

Looks like you are setting up a similar compound setup to mine, yours is different in the way that you use a HT instead of my HX, the HX is supposed to be a little bigger and it rotates in the opposite direction... may i suggest that you upgrade your HX35W to a HX40W?
I did this primarily to get rid of hot exhaust gasses quicker, the HX35 only has a 3" (or smaller?) output for the hot pipe while the HX40W has a 4"..
Hope all goes well for you, i know i love my compounds...

With what i have in my sig, i get that HX40W to light up like the stocker would...

I needed to take a ton of pics so I know how everything goes back together... posted them so everyone else can see each step in the process. I have found that as I progress I go back to these pics to check things out so I can plan the new parts. There are not many times that a person will tear into every part of truck as deep as I have, and even less people that do what I am and build the new parts (instead of buying them).
