define drain plug ... cuz the way you stated it makes no sense ... my guess would be i there is wetness in pass floor then you prob have a heater core leak

he means the cab drain so the water from the top of the cab drains down to the bottom of the truck. i dont know where theyre at or if theyre on these trucks, but i know alot of cars use them and it can definitely cause that problem

You can get to this from the bottom. Behind the airbox, protruding from the firewall you will find a tube sticking out about 2 inches. This is the drain tube for the condenser. After a period of time the caulking or sealer around that tube shrinks. When the water drips out it runs back along the tube, through the firewall and on to the passenger side floor. You ca take a piece of half inch hose, slide it over the tube, slip a zip tie on and your problem is solved.

Just my opinion, your's of course may vary.

Condenser is in front of the radiator, evaporator core is in the heater box with the heater core. I just changed both of mine because they were leakin and when I pulled the heater box apart there was a lot of debris in there,( leaves, dirt, grass misquito feces I guess) so that might the problem too. Might be able to stick a piece of wire up the tube and unclog it just be gentle, pullin the dash wont make your list of favorite passtimes I'll guarantee you that.

Take it to the local car wash and use the big vacum on it.Its a PIA to get the hose from the vacum on it but it will help draw any foreign material out of it and save you from sticking something into the evap core that may puncture it.As already stated, once its free from debris place a hose on it to your desired length and use a wire tie to hold it in place.

You will also have to determine if its not your heater core as already noted. They do go bad with age and with a truck that has never had the anti-freeze changed due to bad PH levels.IF you find it is the heater core you should plan on swapping the evap core also as thats the time to do the job right and not have to tear the entire dash out twice.

Also note this too.....
If you have a truck that has had the front end leveled recently it will make the A/C drain back into the cab if you do not place a hose on it.For some reason the leveleing kits allow just enough air to slip to where the drain is and instead of draining the evap core it blows it back into the cab and when it gets full it leaks where ever it can and makes a wet mess of you cab.

Hope this helps some......Andy
