i would recomend getting an auxillary cooler. they come with little ones from the factory that are not made to handle anything more than stock

Mag Hyteck trans panI The extra fluid makes big difference. I80/190 are my temps when towing heavy.

Just my opinion, your's may of course vary.

i personally dont like the bigger pans, sure it gives you more fluid. this will take longer to heat up. but it will take longer to cool down. instead of spending 300 on a new pan. spend 140$ on a nice big tranny cooler that will keep temps under 150* while heavy towing. thats just my .02 cents

My personal opinion is a larger cooler and deeper pan. That setup has worked great in my street/strip car for more than 8 years, just rebuilt the tranny last year.

I have a remote cooler (with fan) mounted under the bed outside of the frame rails. Can't overheat the tranny, it seems. Only reason for a bigger pan, in my case, is to get the drain for changing oil and filter. Well that and to replace the stock pan after somebody stepped on it .
