Pitman Arm/ Steering Bind
#21
All force on these old trucks that makes for shitty steering is the axle wanting to go side to side out from underneath the truck. All the pressure is on the (one) track bar and on the pitman arm shaft coming out of the steering box. Have someone turn ur wheel side to side and watch that shaft....it moves back and forth before it rotates and turns the pitman arm. Put a brand new steering box on the truck it do it again. Hardly any difference. The bigger the tires the more the axle wants to move. The stabilizer does away with this and is a must have for the least. Tltruckparts is right about his set up. better than sex

pretty much wherever you want it to. must go one end on the diff cover and the other end on the tie rod. but it can be any combo of diff cover, axle tube, tie rod, drag link etd. anywhere where one end wont move and the other end will move the steering arm
