Default got my o-ringed head back...totally pissed!!!!!

WEll i got my head back form MIKES of Northwood.

the good:
O-rings...and I hope 60# springs look sexy


the bad:
he forgot to send the .20 over HG

the really F'in BAD!!!!!!

HE took the head apart all the fittings, the intake plate, the thrmostat housing, right down to the lifting eyes and didn't put any of it back on!!!!!!! I MEAN WTF WTF!!!!!!!! HELL HE DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE GASKETS TO PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!

I paid $1100.00 told him he could take his time to make it easier on him and this is how he treats me WTF!!!!!! ALL I KNOW IS HE BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!! IM 700miles ROUND TRIP FROM HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FREAKING A IM JSUT STEAMED!!!!!!!!!!

WORST PART IS I DONT HAVE A CLUE HOW IT GOES BACK TOGETHER CAUSE I DIDNT TAKE IT APART!!!!! ITS HOW I LEARN. I CANT BELEIVE IT CAM PACK AS ABAG OF PARTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOUD HATE TO HAVE AN ENGINE BUILT BY HIM WHAT YOU GET BACK A BOX OF PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT A CLEAN BLOCK MISSING PISTONS WTF!!!!!! I EXPECETD IT TO COME BACK READY TO DROP ON NOT FIX THIS AND THAT INSTALL THIS THAT AND EVERYTHING!!!!!!

well thanks for hte vent session. i'll be calling him tomorrow and getting the money back for the HG gasket and the upper gasket set that is listed on my invoice.

Whoa thats nuts. I'd be freaking out too dude. Call and try talking to him; maybe you guys were on different wavelengths on things?

I'd be worried more about the thermostat and the temp probe in the back of the head. there whats gonna cost the most to replace

yeah I havenm't even looked for the temp probe. i dont even think i saw that in the bag.....SOB off to look.


i did call him and now am jsut waiting on a call back

ok he called back. gasket money is getting refunded and he apoligized for not haveing it put back together. stating he didnt want any sensors broken. I guess i can live with that....except for the fact that he threw all the sensors in a bag to jsut bang around....ahhh well at least i get my gasket money back and can order it somewhere else.

Ok this is not to sound as smart *** or anything like that, but all the stuff we have done like that to be sent out, it get stripped right here before it leaves, and i mean everything taken off except what is supposed to get replace by whom ever is doing the work, that way you dont run into the issues you are having now, just a word of the wise, if you want it back, take it off before it leaves!!

yeah I know that now! the hard part is he told me that if I would have picked it up he would have put everything back on but bc my friends did he left it all off. but whats done is done and I have it straitned out

dang i got a guy here that gets the heads for bout 550 bucks, then cuts the rings and gasket and everything out the door for less than that,, and all he does is build cummins compoents and upgrades, and hybreed turbos and such, fully built engine complete is running me bout 6500 bucks complete ready to drop in,,from top to bottom and pump to turbo,,, he is running an identical engine in his pull truck for the last 3 years and hasent had to tear it down and has won regionals each year too,,,and daily drives the beast,,
