same thing was happening to me so i just asked a buddy if i could throw his injectors in real quick and what do ya know it solved the problem. our stock lift pumps are pretty decent units and they say they are good up 500 hp. mind you 500 hp can be made with different amounts of fuel depending on set up but you get the point. they are good for any daily driver.

Take a used fuel cap and a piece of pipe that is the same thread for a male air coupler. Drill the fuel cap for that size nipple install it with the threads sticking out and jb it in the fuel cap. Screw the male coupler on the nipple. Then install the cap take a air hose with 8 to 10 lbs of pressure connect it and let the truck sit for a few hours and you should find the leak. More pressure is not better!!! Damage my result by being in a hurry. It seem the leaks (vacuum) on the supply side are more difficult to find. Second quick fix would be to install a check valve on the supply line next to the firewall. This would stop the fuel from creating a syphon effect and loss of prime. BTW this works real well for a injection pump that is on it's last leg and you need to stretch your dollars.

would a 5x12 or 90hp injector from sdx be really smoky with my set up or run hot? or could it be tuned a bit. a hx 40 or s300 is in the future but if i were to get the injectors first are they streetable without putting the extra air to them with another charger or will the hx35 be alright

update im starting to think its not the injectors as much as before today it started great ran fine with no roughness after 30 secs or better of smooth running it stalled again and once again reprime and fire right up. so it may be possible that the air leak is further back then thought but im unsure as to how fast the fuel moves through these lines for it to run great for a few then run into a air pocket to starve fuel and stall.
