Death85- u don't think running both compounds would be a bad idea? I'm down for trying both as long as you don't see it being bad. I'll run restore first so it can do its thing then a day or 2 later oput in lucas

Tl- I need my truck though so that sort of downtime would kill me. Not to mention that's a LOT of work

Did this just start, or has it been a gradual thing? Blow-by shouldn't be much of an issue while sitting at the intersection idleing. It's normally more of a high boost/hp issue.

To me, it sounds like you have a broken ring or two. Do a compresssion check!

I'll prob use one can of restore and one quart of lucas and call it good between oil changes.

I bought the truck with this blow-by. It hasn't changed in intensity or smoke since I've owned it.

i had one did the same. you could see it when sitting at a red light. one day while pulling a 40' trailer i rapped it up to around 100 mph and it started knocking. with clutch in no knock. i ended up breaking the thrust bearing. i could have done rods and main bearings and had it covered. 290,000 miles or so when it happened. no fuel plate bigger injectors no afc foot. little too "hot" for a work truck but itd pull like hell.

I have used both products at the same time for a bandaid to get me by till i could afford a complete rebuild . Just do not go overboard on the lucas if you make the oil to thick with it you will be doing a motor transplant as opposed to a rebuild.

Default Does Lucas work

So does Lucas work???
I have very minor blow by on 5.9 Cummins, just a little bit of smoke from the oil cap if you look just right and also little bit of smoke from the breather under the engine.
