How much hp do you get for 1 pound per minute of air flow on a diesel?

Some reason we get less on diesels vrs the gassers.

We were discussing turbos. Seems like we only get 1/2 the hp of the gassers...

I am also trying to figure out how do the experts figure out what hp the diesel is making with a certain number?

Trying to learn here.....

 

who cares about the hp rating when we make 5x's the torque, which is power. when have you ever seen an 160HP gasser with 450ft lbs?

400 if you ran a bigger exhaust housing or you would have heat issues.
