I Am Completely Stumped Coolant Loss
Look for a chalky trail somewhere along the block, head, t-stat housing...around a hose bung..

well we pulled it in the shop at work again and we are almost positive it wasnt burnin any. my oil is fine. we threw some die in there and ran it for a while up at temp and didnt see die anywhere. filled it up and ran it for a while and i didnt really losse any. i was watchin the level and my thermostat opened and a bunch of coolant went out then it started fillin up but never filled all the way back to where it was before. so our best guess is that i have been flushin my coolant system a lot cus there was oil in it and im thinkin the loss im seeing is just coolant fillin back up everywhere. is that possible? and lets just say there was air in the system then wouldnt it loose pressure when i pressure tested it also?
with rad cap on tight
put a t in the heater hose and hook a air hose to it at 10psi
let it cook overnight and you should have a trail somewhere
if not it will be hydo locked
pull the injectors and spin the engine over
ps don't stand inline with the injector side of the block

I just replaced my water pump and all i put some stop leak in my radiator and mine's still leaking pretty bad from some where. when i find my leak i'll let you know what it is maybe it'll help you out.
correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure your not supposed to use stop leak in diesels??
nope. when i got my 96 someone put stop leak in it to slow the head gasket. 2 months later while doing the head gasket i noticed 3 of the water journals in the head were stopped up. 1 year later while rebuilding engine i purchased a new head because the old one was cracked. im sure the stopped up journals didnt help any.
