width is the prob between the duals with no spacer. 235/85 is the max on the pre 2000 wheels and 255s are max on the 2000 and ltr. and depending on the brand those sizes are pushing it.
of crse you mentioned the front specifically but ya want all six to match, dontcha. 285s would fit the wheels on the frnt but are max width for the width of rim. 235s on mine with the runnin boards and mudflaps clearance is tight in a turn. the extra height and width of 285s may be too close in a turn even w/o the flaps etc even w/ a 1.5 lift. i wouldnt go bigger than a 265 on front unless ya had a couple of nakid 285s ya cld mount just to try without purchasing any. and then it would look funny having mismatched tires............
if that 95 2wd was mine i'd just do all 235s.

The stock tires are almost 31s, I know I can fit larger than that!

I might get a set of 3rd gen wheels. Guy has a set of tires/wheels for a good price.
Trying to go big as I can to loose some rpm. Right now 70mph is pretty much all it's got (2500rpm), plus the tiny skinny tires in front remind me more of something that should be on a Camaro drag car, not a pickup!
