I was doing some reading about the star switch and im just wondering what is the safe amount of turns up? before the egs start to get to high?

i have about 3 turns on the star and the afc full forward and i dont have any trouble with egts.

I WOULD SAY A COUPLE TURNS ON THE STAR WHEEL U WILL B OK, AS LONG AS YOU DONT ADJUST THE SMOKE SCREW

I have the star switch turned up about 4 clicks and i have not touched the smoke screw. No i dont have a pyro gauge.

Bad idea to mess with any added fueling without having gauges to monitor what your motor is doing.

if you adjust the star wheel you are not adding fuel!!!

you are raising the fuel at less boost

yes your adjusting how much the govenor is allowed to travel in relation to boost, good idea to get pyro if you give star wheel more than 15-20 clicks, shuld be ok but not worth taking the chance

I was thinking about getting a pyro gauge, were abouts are you guys mounting the sensor on the exhaust?
