Is it fairly safe to say I need to pull my injectors then and see if they are the culpit. It sounds like injectors can be bad by leaking when their cylinder is not tdc and it is pushed thru the rings, which would make less fuel for each hit because the lines are depleted of full fuel. Is this what could be happening and explain why I see no smoke?

white smoke is raw unburnt fuel so no matter when its going into the cylinder if there is too much fuel in there your either going to run rich (black smoke) or just send out way too much raw fuel (white smoke) and/or cause rough idle. if it runs fine and doesnt smoke at all, im almost willing to bet its not an injector problems

the same thing happens on the lb7 dmaxes when they crack an injector body, have a loose line(supply or return since they are both under the valve covers). they need to be checked out

Are you going to check the lift pump before or after you start messing with the injectors?

I usually do the easy stuff first, but that's just me...

If it is your injectors and you wanna go cheap. A set of rebuilt injectors on ebay go for about $200. I'm not sure about quality, but for a backup truck they're probably ok. Check your lift pump first though, if that goes it can take your IP with it! $$$$

If you narrow it down and it isn't the LP, PM me, I've got a set of stock injectors from my 94 12V that I'd be willing to sell cheap.

Default yes, checking

Im going to check the LP prior to money being dropped. To sort out confusion, What am I checking on the LP? That its pumping, or that its pumping ~30lbs? Asking in the sense that I do not not know the common failure. The problem that I have with this being the lift pump is my 2003 with a 96 12 valve has the same exact problem, and I already replaced lift pump. Yes, it's a weird coincidence that both my trucks are struggling with this, but on the 03,it didn't solve the problem. But on the other hand the fact that no smoke really makes it hard to assume injectors. When an IP fails, does it always make it harder to start? Or is it simply lacking power and lower mileage? When the IP goes out, does it always smoke? I'll have answers tonight regarding LP. Help on my other questions is much appreciated.

You need to put a gauge on it and see what pressure it's making. You can get a cheap test gauge at a parts store or tool shop for not much $.

You should have done that with the other one first, instead of just throwing parts at it.

Is it possible that the oil and fuel are getting mixed in the p-pump?
