Default Cracked Timing Gear Cover

Anybody know the best place to get a Timing Gear Cover New or Used for a 98 12-valve and a KDP install kit?

go to tst for your dowel pin fix kit, as for the timing cover check around online for one or maybe try a junk yard

IMO save your money on the TST kit and make a tear drop tab. use lock tight on pin and on the case mounting bolt. If i remember right the kit was pretty pricy. i made mine with some scrap thin steal i had layin around. 10 mins and i had one made.....so it was free. just a thought.

Mine broke and i cleaned and buffed it really good and smeared JB weld on it. I dont know how long it will hold but its been good for a month now. It broke right under the fan braket.

A decent welder should be able to fix it up on a permanent basis as long as it's just cracked and not busted with pieces missing. Even if it is it could still be fixed, just a little more work and won't look perty.

JB weld is a temporary fix at best. Good luck.

mines jb welded. it just leaks a little oil but i would rather dump in a little oil then pay for and change out the timing case.
