just did the timing
well i just came inside from doin my timing on my 94.. turns out it was at 14* when i started, hard 2 believe. i set it to 21.5 on accident then i got it to 18 on the next try.. which is what i wanted. the kdp hasnt been tabbed but it hadnt moved much, im gonna tab it tomorrow and i got to get a new lock washer for the pump gear. its really tricky to get the timing where it needs 2 be.. im really suprised i got it on the 2nd try. is it always this hard to get it right? im using the timing pin and a crank bolt.. maybe thats y its hard to get it close?
where do you get a set of grade 10 bolts and how well do they hold up compared to studs
well i was gonna get them thru fastenal but just a few minutes ago i found that diesel pap is sellin bolts that r more than grade 10 for 130 shipped so i just ordered a set of them heres the link https://www.dieselbombers.com/mighty...ead-bolts.html

. i think 18 will be pretty stout. watch your head gasket.Timing can be a very tricky thing. enjoy
