Default loss of power

i have a 1995 12v, 2500, 5 speed, single cab dodge cummins. I currently loss power in it. i have the fuel plate pushed all the way up. i have the screw in the fuel pump unscrewed. and recently i have loss power. it doesnt shoot out smoke anymore, it pulls back when i take off like it dont want to go anymore, im trying to see what the problem is, i changed the fuel filter today and tht didnt make a differnce ...it is still pulling back and not shooting smoke like it used to....

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

Pull off the AFC and make sure the gov arm isn't stuck underneath the full forward fuel plate. Is it a stock fuel plate or a ground one. Next make sure the pressure line isn't broke or leaking and not getting the AFC defuel arm out of the way. These hoses are known to lose there seal at either end at the nut (pinch point when disturbed too many times. Even though you've got it screwed all the way out, it'll still prevent fuel as the motor heels over into the governor.

Retarded ie slipped timing.....

Bad OF valve....which will cause a bad idle and/or off idle miss as well.

Check them things out and let us know.

Chris
