Default timing

Im going to set my pickup to 16.5 degrees timing but am unsure of how to do it i was wondering if anybody would be able to tell me

Do you have a timming kit, like from snap-on etc..?

no i don't have anything but i can get it from the snapon guy i just need to know what to buy and what to do. we never advance timing on the tractors at our dealerships so nobody there has any ideas of how to do it.

The best thing to do is to do it with someone who has done it before several times and knows what they are doing. Watch and learn, ask as many question as you can. While they are still there you should redo the timing again with them watching.

is it just like setting your timing ... but instead of puting it at stock you just put it at 16.5 or wat ever you are putting it at ?

I would the kit from snap-on, just tell the guy what you need he will know what it is you are looking for. Then get ahold of your friend that knows how, have him show you. That will be a ton easier than going off what i say on here, plus someone might chime in that really dosnt know what they are doing and screw you up. Thats my advise.
