Default kdp help

doin headgasket and some stuff and took my front cover and my kdp was already tabbed. then i noticed the timing case is cracked pretty bad and jp weld over it as a fix. what the worst that could happen with that crack?

You need to change the housing. When it breaks up top, it also breaks around a bolt above the crankshaft timing gear. If that bolt comes out you are SCREWED.

If I can find my housing I will post a pic or two.

i just had my casing welded by a teacher down at school, n put red loctite on all the bolts that are inside casing. didn't really see the need to buy the $280 case when mine was repairable

well it does leak a bit of oil i always just thought it was a gasket. its just from where to two broken pieces are together and the gasket is so thin it doesnt seal it. its been sealed up pretty good. i cant see repalcing and re-timing everything it cus its been like that for a while.
