we cut the floor board years ago so we didnt run into the problem again

i know that, i jack the trans up, remove the cross member and lower it. what im stating is that i didnt see how you can slide the trans straight back and rest it on the crossmember, the shift tower always hits the floorboard. but after he said that they cut out the floorboard it all makes sense.

took me three days in the schools shop to do the clutch lol.
i used jacks to spread the rails. cross member fell right on my friend haha:s: |
dan your somethin else little dude, this thread was intended juts to explain that it is posible to replace the clutch without removing the crossmember

but that requires cutting the floor board so i think it may be an option that not many people take. i would rather pull a cross member than cut on my truck

who cares about a cut floor board you never notice it its under the crapet and insulation

I do....why cut the floor when you can take out four bolts and remove the cross member. I'm lazy but not that lazy.
