Default Boost gauge problems

hey guys got my gauges put in and now cant get the boost to read ... the instructions with the gauge said tap into a vacumm line and thats wat i did but im reading nothing and dont understand

I would assume thats a Glow shift guage???

You need to drill and tap the intake manifold or use the 1/8" pipe plug on the side of the head. Youll need the 1/8" fitting (and probably a new ferrule). And of course youll need to fix the vacume line that you incorrectly teed into.

wow im glad the directions said to do that ... crap ... fail ... ... thanx ... will do that when i drill my exh to put the prob in

Its hard to see in the pic but the plug is under one leg of the intake manifold. Easy to find once you know where to look.

tapping into the vaccum line will only measure vaccum not boost.

Yeah, the guage needs to go the other way if youre measuring Vacuume.

ok took out the plug that was there and put in the plug with the fitting that came with the gauges but still no boost ? i sure i put it in the right place

never mind ... got it working ... lame the hose that came with the gauge was craked so replaced it with some line i had at the house and we golden ... thanx for the help guys
