Default 1996 ram diesel fuel lines

hi all, im new here. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how i would go about changing the fuel lines from the tank to the front of the cab? I just need to know what size the lines are and what do i use to join the lines. They come out of the tank as plastic and then they turn to steel and it is at this point that they are leaking. It looks as though it would be easiest to cut the plastic ant join back up at the plastic closer to the front of the truck thus avoiding dropping the tank etc. thanks for any help!

Make sure you use diesel rated fuel hose. Anything else doesnt last and this isnt a fun job.
