Default HOLE in return line in TANK

i dropped the tank today. In the fuel filter sending unit there is a hole in the return line about half way up in the sending unit fuel filter device.
WOULD THIS CAUSE A STARTING PROBLEM?
and where can I get the FUEL line the is inside the fuel tank???
