Don't mean to HiJack your thread, but I have the same after changing fuel filter due to loss of power, nothing comes out the bleed hole either.I think the fuel lift pump is gone bad.

ok i bled the back line on the filter that comes from the lift pump...lots of air. it will start for a few m9inutes after i bleed it and run decent...then starts running bad and dies. fuel preheater leak?

no prob hijacking the post dude. maybe we can kill 2 birds with one thread

Yeah it sounds like you have a preheater leak. I highly doubt your lift pump is bad, my friend had 400k on his truck and his lift pump still ran like a champ. If its your lift pump its a cheap fix they are like 90 bux at Diesel Performance Parts Power Chips Diesel Exhaust Intake Performance Products I would check them out for the fuel heater gasket to.

thanks for the link...they have the 94-98 Dodge 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Fuel Bowl Heater Seal Kit from Cummins also 94-98 Dodge 5.9L 12 Valve Cummins Lift Pump Gaskets
...now i just need to find the air leak.
