Default heater grid delete

my question is for yall that have them on yours, howhard is it to start in the winter when u plug ur truck in at night. im making one but dont know if i will leave it in over winter, or just for the upcoming dyno, then pull it back out untill next spring. right now i can just bump the starter and it will fire right up with out the grid heater having a chance to cycle?

your gonna gain like maybe 2 horsepower by deleting the grid, i dont see any reason to do this mod...unless you live where it never gets below 30*....IMHO

Or your pushing massive amounts of air into the cylinder head (running a compound setup).

the coldest my 94 ever started without a grid heater and not pluged in was 19*. was not a pretty sight tons of smoke. I would leave the heater in not worth the headache.

Wow...mine has no trouble down to -20 unplugged. Just cycle the key and it fires right up. Much colder and it stumbles for a second.
