painting the bumper and the grill?
the chrome your going to atleast have to scuff with a scotch brite pad to get the paint/primer to stick, and for the plastic on the bumpers you could cheat and use that krylon fusion paint. I used it on my bug shield and it held up really well.
if its still bonded its a pain to do, even if its starting to seperate it blows... give scuffing it a shot. plenty of guys have painted stuff that you'd think otherwise paint wouldnt stick to. cant hurt to try i guess
i just did mine today ... grill , and front/rear bumpers ... i used rustoleum universal paint ... didnt even have to scuff up the chrome ... just made sure surface is clean ... i did this on my girls tahoe 3 years ago and its still good
idk about 220; i've just seen guys take some scotchbrite to everything and the paint lays on it nice and flat and doesnt peel up. get yourself a decent can of the clearcoat and take your time with it; but it'll be added insurance that your paint wont start to chip and flake in no time. plu sit'll just amke things look that much better
