well, here's what i think, if i dont get slammed over here, if its welded its definely been hot and slipped very hard. i have already been talking with the distributor. we are going to try to work this out. If boosted launches is what you want to do, then i definetly recommend a dual disc, so here's your chance i will give you full credit against a dual disc, if that's out of your price range we will go a different route, i can build it with the 1.25" hubs so you wouldnt necessarilly need an input shaft, if you do then i'll give you a sweet deal on it as well, i look at it like this the clutch is the fuse of your driveline we can take a 10a out and put in a 50a but more than likely it will burn the wire in half, or find the next weakest link. It only really takes one mistake to knock a clutch out, or even could have been something else wrong, i wont be able to give you an answer on why i think it failed until i can review the evidence, or pictures.

if he's already having single disc problem this early with this low of HP I'm voting on 12 button... it was a joke but i forgot the ,

If he's going to be sledpulling at all he needs a 12B

id love to have the DD but im going to college right now and cant really afford a clutch hydrualics and input shaft. when i go double disk i want to go with a big input or else with my luck no matter how easy i drive itll break and then ill have more bad issues i know a single cant take boosted launches but when i could fry the tires in third gear with my old organic luk i figured a ceramic single could take a tiny little 2nd gear i guess not now i know i guess the only lessons learned are those aplied hurting

an organic clutch has some slip made into it but wont hold enough power, it can survive some slip, the ceramic holds alot more power but is not designed to be slipped. when it is forced to slip it heats up really fast and bad things happen. the reason a dual disc works better and is smoother with ceramic is that the multiple plates give it some slip made into them also more metal to ditiscipate the heat.
I hope this explains it some what.

well im not putting down a bunch of power right now like i said 350 ish so i dont have to hold a bunch of power maybe its better if i just get a cheaper oraganic thatll hold 350-400 and save my pennies for a double disk and everything that goes with it
